Obituary of Maurice Quinten Renie

Maurice Quinten " Mauri " Renie, 90 of Speedway Indiana, passed away on April 24, 2024 in Avon Indiana.

Funeral Service's will be held at Saint Christopher Catholic Church on May 2nd, 2024, with Father Paul of Saint Christopher's officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM , at Saint Christopher Church, followed by the funeral service at noon. Stevens Mortuary will be handling Funeral arrangements. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 425 West Troy Ave, Indianapolis, Indiana 46225.

Maurice was born August 4, 1933 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kokomo Indiana, son of Robert H. and Vivian (Hawkins) Ren.They then moved to Elwood Indiana, where he attended Saint Joseph Grade school,  and graduated from Wendell Wilkie High School in 1951.

He was drafted into the U.S Army and served from 1954 - 1956, as a Radar Operator.  After his service he went on to become an Electrician and worked for Weimer and Ermco Electric, and Allison Transmission in Speedway, where he retired in 1998.

Mauri enjoyed working on Family Genealogy, tinkering and restoring his 1937 Buick Century to Award winning status. Mauri also enjoyed cheering on the Indiana University Basketball Team.

Maurice is survived by his wife Judith and three children, Michelle M. (Todd) Heimbuch, Anthony A. Renie, and Scott Q. Renie, three Grandchildren, Kayla R. (Renie) Webb, and Husband Austin Webb, Alexander J. Renie, Colin A.  Renie, and two Great Grandchildren, Jaxson J. Webb and Ethan J. Webb. Sister Marcia A. (Renie) Sanders and Husband Ronald Sanders, Nephew Thomas E. Sanders and Wife Liz Sanders.
