Christopher Alan Carlson, 49, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on January 8, 2016. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on August 7, 1966 to Richard P. "Dick" Carlson and Elizabeth J. (Fleming) Porteous. He was a self-employed herbal chemist, cultivator, farmer and landscaper. Chris was a loving and devoted son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. Chris enjoyed traveling the world, meeting new people and seeking out new adventures. He was an inventor of sorts and liked to tinker. Chris was always looking for the "next million-dollar idea". Chris is preceded in death by his father and survived by his mother. He is also survived by his step-mother, Joyce Carlson; children, Tara Danaher, Visolala Maya, Briana Kamille, Christian and Maliki "Mario" Sincere Omer Carlson; siblings, Shelley (Tim) Carlson-Walker, Damon N. Carlson, Brendon Tyce (Christine) Carlson, Anthony Trae (April) Carlson, Stacey L. (Charley) Higgins, Kerry (Elizabeth) Carlson and Jeff Dickerson; grandchildren, Kevin, Micah, Kameron, S'niya, Stevony and Taniya.
