Obituary

Timothy John Reeves (AKA Walker Texas Ranger), 64, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on January 29, 2023 after a month's struggle with pneumonia.

Timmy was born on August 19, 1958 to Allen and Betty Reeves in Indianapolis, he was the 7th child of 10.  He was actively involved in the Scouting program through Cold Springs School, were he attended grade school. From Cold Springs he went on to participate in the programs at the Westside facility of Noble Industries. Tim then went on to work at Noble in the packaging department.  Later he transitioned to a “cart getter” at Kroger and Meijer grocery stores.

Timmy had an infectious smile and attitude about everything in life.  He loved participating in the Special Olympics program where he was a member of the Indianapolis Westside teams.  He accumulated many medals of which you could usually see him wearing around his neck at any time.

He enjoyed spending time at Outside the Box where he attended interactive programs several times a week.  He especially enjoyed the music therapy sessions where he wrote his own song ”Oh Baby, Baby” which race fans could hear Tim playing on his guitar and singing loudly every race day!

Timmy's hero was Walker Texas Ranger, and those who knew him called him “Walker” per his request.

Timmy is preceded in death by his father, Allen Reeves, his sister Theresa Marie Hoopingarner Keck, and all his grandparents.

Timmy loved his large family and was always excited to spend time with all of them.  He is survived by mother Betty Reeves; brothers Charles Reeves (Brenda), Robert Reeves (Patty Reeves), Michael Reeves (Shelley), and Stephen Reeves (Lisa); sisters Patricia Stephens (Denvil), Mary Jane Huber (Greg), Elizabeth Dininger (Dennis), and Alice MacGruder (Dennis); 33 Nieces and Nephews; 39 Great Nieces and Nephews; and 4 Great Great Nieces and Nephews.

I was so sorry to see this. I remember Tim very well. I don't know if you remember me, but my parents, Bill and Jerry Dugan lived down the street on Thrush Drive for over 50 years. I went to school with Mike. My deepest condolences and best wishes to you all. Sincerely, Jo Ellen (Jody) Dugan Millard.
