Obituary of Eileen Watson

Eileen JoAnne Joann Watson (Yaya) of Indianapolis, Indiana born January 15, 1981 was called to the Great Campfire in the Sky on Sunday morning, October 25, 2020. Her death was sudden and unexpected. She was a 1995 graduate of Saint Michael Grade School, and a 1999 graduate of Cathedral High School, where she was very active in the theater program and HIV/AIDs instruction through the American Red Cross. She attended Holy Cross College and Marian University. She was currently unemployed due to an accident and chronic illness. EJ was previously employed by RCI, The Boy Scouts of America, Saint Michael-Saint Gabriel School, and Cathedral High School. She was a BSA Crossroads of America Council Firecrafter, avid camper, Mrs. Claus portrayer, Barbie Doll collector, music lover, and Mountain Dew’s number one customer. She is survived by her parents, Jack and Susie Watson; her older sister, Tina (Watson) Scheu (John Paul); older brother John Watson (Anji Wall); older sister, Sarah Jean Watson; Nephews Preston and Hunter Scheu and Finnegan Watson; Niece Mutong Zhou; and numerous other relatives and loved ones. She was preceded in death by grandparents John and Jo Watson, Bob and June Beck; Godmother, Anne Keough; and niece, Christine Marie Scheu. Visitation is at Stevens Mortuary from 4-7:30 PM on Friday, October 30, 2020. In aligning with Eileen’s clothing preferences, you are invited to wear jeans to the visitation. Please be aware strict precautions will be followed from the CDC guidelines. A rosary in memory of Eileen will be said at 7:30 PM. The celebration of her life will continue with a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church at 10:30 AM on Halloween (very fitting for Eileen). Internment will follow at Calvary Cemetery directly after the Mass.. Due to COVID limitations, Saint Michael has limited capacity. For those who attend in person, facial coverings and social distancing are required. The Mass will stream through Facebook Live as a safe option for mourners to grieve. The family expresses gratitude for your presence whether virtual or in person. We will celebrate Eileen's life together in the future with hugging, food, and fellowship. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Michael- Saint Gabriel School, Saint Lawrence School, or a donation for Cub Scout Camperships (The Cub Scout checks should be made to sister Sarah Watson).
