Obituary of David E Cooney

David E. Cooney, 74, of Brownsburg, IN passed away on September 23, 2018. Dave was born in Indianapolis on October 24, 1943 to Watson and Zelda (Vaughn) Cooney, both preceding him in death. Dave along with his wife Betty, are owners of D B Supply Plus, Inc. He was formerly employed by Service Pipe & Supply. He had an extensive history in pipes, valves & fittings. He was a member and former trustee of Speedway Church of Christ. Dave enjoyed fishing, painting, boating, playing cards and taking care of his yard. He was known to family & friends as “Mister Fix-it”. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Helen Jean Cooney; brothers, Robert and Norben Cooney. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Betty J. (Schmid) Cooney; daughter, Kim (Tracy) Runyon; grandchildren Kaila, Braeton, and Bret Runyon.  Brother-in-law, Ken (June) Schmid; sisters-in-law, Sharon Brant & Carol (Donn) Koonce and families.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Speedway Church of Christ; American Heart Association or American Lung Association.
