Obituary of Kevin James Faires
Kevin James Faires, 57, of Indianapolis, IN died at home surrounded by his loving family on December 28, 2016. He was born April 15, 1959 to Elmer and Mary Faires. Kevin was married to his wife, Ann, for 37 years.
Surviving family members include wife Ann(Summers) Faires; two children Jamie French (Scott) and Justin Faires(Cassidy); seven grandchildren, Mya, Sylvie, Bryce, Ansley, Adeline, Stella, and Callen. Also surviving is his only sister Judy Shannon, sister-in-law Sheila Faires, and brothers, Dennis(Cathy), Jeff (Kristy), Tim, and Michael.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents Elmer & Mary and brothers, Ronnie and Gary.
Kevin was a lifelong resident of Indianapolis. He graduated from Ritter High School in 1977.
He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who lovingly called him Papi. Kevin enjoyed playing golf with family and friends and was an avid fan of Ben Davis Giants football, Cincinnati Reds, and IU basketball.
Donations can be made online in Kevin’s honor to the Pat McAfee Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing scholarship assistance to the sons and daughters of US Military Personnel.
