Ardelle Geis Stemmer, 55, of Indianapolis passed away July 17, 2015. She was born in Richmond, IN on November 6, 1959 to Robert P. and Margaret J. Geis. Ardelle owned and operated her own wallcovering business for over 20 years. She graduated from Marian University in 2004 with a BA in Theology. She was devout to her Catholic faith and was an avid reader, gardener and bicyclist. She played both the piano and guitar and for many years enjoyed horseback riding and golfing. She loved to entertain and cook, especially for her family. Ardelle was preceded in death by her sister, Laura M. Geis. She is survived by her parents; children, Sarah E. Lisby, Chalmer J. Geis and Morgan I. Geis; sisters, Leticia M. and Maureen Geis; brothers, R. Michael, John J., Christopher A. and Patrick E. Geis; grandchildren, Bonnie G. Lisby and Jacey Knox and Chalmer Geis Cadero. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23 from 10 am to 11:30 am in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 pm in St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 3352 W. 30th St., Indpls. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
