Joseph T. Irwin, 90, of Indianapolis, passed away March 11, 2009 at Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis. Joe was preceded in death by his loving wife, Florence and is survived by six children; daughter, Barbara Natale, sons, Thomas, Joseph, Edward, James and Robert; 12 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Joe was born August 31, 1918 in New York City, New York and has been a retired Teamster since 1979. Having served his country in the US Army in WWII, Joe was both a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Funeral services will be held on March 17, 2009 at 10:00 am at St. Michael Catholic Church, located at 30th and Tibbs Ave. Visitation will be held on March 16, 2009 at Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W 10th St, from 4-8 pm.
