David "Drillbit" Eugene Briggs 56, of Cloverdale, passed away on July 1, 2009. He was born on September 23, 1952. David worked at Amtrak Maintenance Facility as an electrician technician for 27 1/2 years. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman and loved being a grandpa. David is survived by his wife, Brenda A. (Winings) Briggs; son, David Cody Briggs; daughters, Tina Lynette Baylor, Bridget Suzanne Sturgill and Brandie Ann Kendall; sisters, Carletta, Teresa and Georgena; brother, Michael; and 12 grandchildren, Alexia, Ashton, Tony, Sammi, Ciera, Breanna, Johnny, Jayden, Caitlynn, Mya, Jimmy and Aryanna. Visitation will be held at Stevens Mortuary & Family Center, 5520 W 10th St, Indpls, on Sunday, July 5, 2009 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held there on Monday, July 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in West Ridge Park Cemetery.
