Obituary of Kipp Farmer

Kipp Lane Farmer 52, of Danville, IN passed away peacefully in his home with family by his side. After a long 4 year battle of Leukemia. Born November 3, 1964 in Hendricks County Indiana. He was the son of late Arnold Quintine “Tine” Farmer and Sherry Lynn Farmer.

Kipp attended Danville High School class of 1983, where he enjoyed playing sports and excelled in basketball and football. In his young years he loved fast cars, motorcycles, and good bands. He developed a love for racing by being involved with his dad’s businesses across from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Kipp was fortunate to experience relationships with many famous race car drivers and well known bands from the 70’s and 80’s.

Kipp is survived by his mother: Sherry Lynn Farmer, Fiance: Yvette Grace, Sons: Travis (Chelsie) Farmer and Garett Farmer (Bre Short), Siblings: Tina (Bob) Blake, Shellie (Steve) Driggers, and Jason Farmer (Glenis). Kipp has many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Kipp was a soon to be proud grandfather.

Kipp is preceded in death by his father: Arnold Tine Farmer

Kipp always enjoyed working for the family business which is where his love for construction began. Kipp worked for many prominent builders in and around Indianapolis which led to a start up company of his own. Kipp was quite the perfectionist at his craft as many witnessed.

Kipp enjoyed his family immensely and loved spending time with his children and finance Yvette.

His love for God was truly amazing and he took every opportunity he was given to spread the word of Christ to others.

Please come celebrate Kipp’s life with us on Saturday June 3 at Stevens Mortuary from 10am to 1230pm with a memorial service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to IU Simon Cancer Center listed below or Plainfield Christian Church in memory of Kipp.
